About the position
In the position as Technical Project Manager for Automation (Cold Mill Complex) – Level 2 automation you will be participate and take responsibility of engineering and execution tasks of Cold Mill Complex Level 2 automation together with OEM supplier. In addition you will take responsibility of engineering and execution tasks of Level 2 systems integrations, major task will be Level 2 systems and Manufacturing Execution System (MES L3) integrations. Other tasks will include OEM supply technical/functional engineering, mathematical models coordination, digitalization, cyber security and data management. You will work as a member of project management team and report to Section Project Manager Automation.
With an investment of €4.5 billion approved by our Board of Directors, Luleå is set to become our next site for fossil-free steel production. The new Luleå mill will boast a capacity of 2.5 million tons per year, featuring state-of-the-art facilities including electric arc furnaces, advanced secondary metallurgy, a direct strip rolling mill, and a cold rolling complex. This transformation will support the mobility segment with premium products, driving our mission towards a sustainable future. Main responsibilities
Project Management: Lead the implementation of assigned automation systems, ensuring timely, budget-conscious, and scope-compliant delivery.
Procurement Activities: Conduct procurement activities in collaboration with the Section Project Manager and the Transformation Office procurement team.
Technical Quality Assurance: Plan and coordinate work for technical quality assurance towards vendors and suppliers, from procurement to final testing and commissioning, ensuring compliance with regulations, standards, and SSAB specifications.
Financial Oversight: Prepare cost estimates for your area of responsibility and assist in financial follow-up and forecasting throughout all project phases.



About You
Specific experience and skill required:
Proven experience in designing and implementing Level 2 automation systems (process optimization) and system integrations for large industrial projects, particularly in cold mill complexes and their equipment.

About You
Specific Experience and Skills Required:
Demonstrated experience in managing complex operations within cold mill complexes or hot strip mills, particularly in one or more of the following areas: CGL and CAL activities, coil pack, recoil, maintenance, Pickling Line & Tandem Cold Mill, rollshop, ROT, conveyor systems, and electric arc furnaces.

Vi söker nu en driven projektledare som vill bygga grunden för en spännande framtid inom ABB. Tjänsten är placerad i Skellefteå, Gällivare eller Kiruna.

Dina arbetsuppgifter
> Du är länken mellan kunder och ABB och får en utåtriktad, omväxlande och social roll med mycket nätverkande.
> Du arbetar i team och har hand om planering, ledning, ekonomi och uppföljning av projekt.
> Du ansvarar för att leveransen sker med rätt kvalitét, enligt tidplan och till budgeterad kostnad.
> Du ser och hanterar projektrisker, hanterar garantiärenden och gör rotorsaksutredningar innan de orsakar förseningar eller merkostnader.

Din profil
> Du har en teknisk högskole- eller universitetsutbildning, alternativt motsvarande arbetslivserfarenhet.
> Du är en person med starkt driv, god samarbetsförmåga och utmärkta kommunikativa färdigheter.
> Du arbetar strukturerat och är bra på att planera, organisera och prioritera arbetet på ett effektivt sätt.
> Du bidrar till att alla trivs på jobbet och har förmågan att inspirera teamet.
> Du behärskar svenska och engelska flytande i både i tal och skrift.
